My Work and Vision

I trained as an immunologist at the University of Oxford, studying immune responses to avian influenza vaccination and infection. I’ve learned to pay close attention to how evidence is produced and how far its conclusions can reasonably be taken. I now apply that discipline in public-health research and policy, alongside competitive intelligence consultancy for pharmaceutical and life sciences organisations.

In public health, my research centres on measles and other vaccine-preventable diseases. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I contributed to Romania's national vaccination effort, working with other experts and engaging communities directly. I saw first-hand that sound advice only changes behaviours when people trust where the information comes from and understand what it means for them. That lesson continues to shape the way in which I communicate my work.

My consultancy work also draws from these experiences. I start with the questions that a client needs answers to and focus on delivering evidence that is strategically relevant. Uncertainty is inevitable, but recognising it and anticipating pitfalls paves the way for success.
